Delivery Policy
Skyspan supplies and delivers products Australia-wide. Delivery arrangements, costs, and timeframes vary depending on the product type, size, and location.
This Delivery Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Goods and Services.
Delivery Timeframes
Any delivery timeframes provided by Skyspan are estimates only. While we make every effort to dispatch and deliver as arranged, Skyspan is not liable for delays caused by:
-
freight carrier delays
-
weather events
-
access restrictions
-
site conditions or booking constraints
-
customer availability or changes
-
supply chain disruption beyond our control
If you require delivery by a specific date (e.g. project milestone, crane booking), please tell us at the time of ordering so we can advise what’s realistic.
Delivery Costs
Delivery costs are charged based on:
-
product size/weight
-
packaging requirements
-
location (metro/regional/remote)
-
carrier requirements (tail-lift, forklift, crane unload, etc.)
Delivery costs will be confirmed:
-
in your quote/invoice, or
-
as advised prior to order confirmation
When Delivery Is Considered Complete
“Delivery” is taken to occur at the time that either:
-
You (or your nominated carrier) collect the goods from Skyspan, or
-
Skyspan (or Skyspan’s nominated carrier) delivers the goods to your nominated address, even if no one is present at the address.
Risk & Responsibility on Delivery
Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer on delivery, and customers should ensure goods are insured if required.
If you request goods to be:
-
left unattended, or
-
left outside, or
-
delivered to an unattended location
they are left entirely at the customer’s risk.
Delivery in Instalments
Skyspan may deliver goods in separate instalments where required (for example, due to manufacturing sequence, product availability, or freight practicality). Each instalment may be invoiced separately and must be paid in accordance with the agreed payment terms.
Site Access & Unloading
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the delivery location is accessible and safe, including:
-
clear access for delivery vehicles
-
suitable unloading method available (where required)
-
safe storage location if goods are delivered before installation
If a delivery cannot be completed due to site access issues, customer absence, or unloading constraints, Skyspan may charge reasonable redelivery and/or storage fees.
Inspecting Goods on Arrival
Customers must inspect goods on delivery and notify Skyspan in writing within seven (7) days if there is:
-
transit damage
-
shortage of goods
-
incorrect items received
To report an issue, email sales@skyspan.com.au and include:
-
invoice/order number
-
description of the issue
-
clear photos (including packaging where relevant)
Collection / Customer-Arranged Freight
If you choose to arrange your own freight or collection:
-
goods are considered delivered when collected from Skyspan
-
risk transfers to the customer at collection
-
the customer is responsible for carrier coordination, timing, and handling
