At Skyspan, we make the skylight specification process simple, transparent, and fully supported from concept to completion.

Design
We work closely with architects, builders, and project teams to develop a skylight solution that matches the design intent and site requirements.
This includes:
- Selecting from our standard architectural sizes
- Custom sizing, shapes and configurations
- Glass makeups, tints, frit patterns, SlipSafe coatings
- Bushfire, acoustic, thermal break, and energy considerations
- Roof interface (hob mount, curb mount, metal deck, corrugated, tile)
- Minimum pitch, condensation control and internal shaft design
- CAD files, detail drawings and specification support

Engineering
Once the design is defined, we confirm structural, code and performance requirements.
- AS4285 rooflight compliance
- AS1288 overhead glazing and loadings
- AS3959 bushfire compliance
- AS1530.1 non-combustible materials
- Wind region, span limitations and glass thickness calculations
- Optional project-specific shop drawings
- Optional engineering certification (AS1288, AS1170, performance solutions)
- Thermal modelling for Section J / NatHERS where required

Manufacture
All Skyspan architectural skylights are manufactured in our Sydney facility using premium materials.
- Structural welded aluminium frames
- Integrated thermal break systems (product dependent)
- High-performance laminated and double-glazed glass
- Custom tints, low-E coatings and ceramic frit patterns
- Powder coating to any Colorbond, Dulux or Interpon colour
- Bespoke flashings for every roof type
- Extensive QA before dispatch
- Compliance to Australian Standards built into every unit

Installation
Depending on the product, we offer supply only or full supply-and-install nationwide.
- Delivery in specialised Skyspan packaging
- On-site measure and coordination
- Cranage and lifting planning
- Installation to Skyspan specifications and NCC requirements
- Waterproofing and flashing integration
- Commissioning and operation testing (where applicable)
- Handover documentation: engineering certificates, compliance, maintenance guidelines
