Bringing Natural Light Back to an Iconic Sydney Venue
Located beside Sydney's Royal Botanic Garden, Terrace on the Domain underwent a significant refurbishment to create bright, contemporary hospitality spaces while retaining its iconic setting. As part of the redevelopment, Skyspan supplied and installed new circular glass skylights, replacing the existing roof glazing with high-performance architectural skylights that flood the restaurant with natural daylight.
The project incorporated three 1800mm CSL Circular Skylights and one 2400mm CSL Circular Skylight, carefully positioned to evenly distribute daylight throughout the dining areas. The large circular openings create a calm, welcoming atmosphere while reducing reliance on artificial lighting during the day.
Designed to integrate seamlessly into the existing roof structure, the new skylights deliver improved performance, durability and a clean architectural finish, enhancing the visitor experience without compromising the building's original character.
