The Skyspan MHE Electric Opening Hatch delivers secure, weather-tight roof access at the touch of a button. Designed for both commercial and residential projects, it provides safe, reliable entry to roof spaces, plant decks, or service areas — combining practicality with refined engineering.

Constructed from a fully welded aluminium frame and insulated lid, the MHE ensures long-term strength and thermal efficiency. The electric linear actuator system enables effortless opening and closing.

The hatch features a double-skin insulated lid with an EPS-FR core (approx. R-value 3.6–3.7 m²·K/W) to reduce heat transfer and improve acoustic comfort. A weather-tight compression seal and powder-coated finish ensure durability in all Australian conditions.

Available in the full Colorbond® colour range, the MHE is engineered for smooth, low-maintenance operation and can be tailored to specific size and control requirements.

What control options are available for the MHE?

The MHE can be supplied with:

Is the MHE fire rated?

It is constructed from non-combustible materials and features a double-skin insulated lid with fire-retardant (EPS-FR) insulation. Where specific fire-rating or FRL requirements apply, suitability must be assessed on a project-specific basis in consultation with the project fire engineer.
